Critical Analysis Essay

The two book that I will be exploring for my critical analysis essay is Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. The both talk about pivotal moments in history which is a great way to start the essay. Throughout both books, the main characters learn about the power of words through reading and writing. Ever with all the horrible things going on in the world they live in, they find love for something that keeps them going everyday. There's a lot of poetry and figurative language in both books that would be something interesting to explore. The way both books pull up in and teach us about something so important in history in an inviting way is also something that I would like to discuss as well. I could also compare both main characters and how they are similar and different. Also, I could compare some of the other characters in both books and the impact they had on the main character.
